[YOUR'RE A WIINER!]

Welcome to Winners On Wheels! I hope you're ready for some fun games and activities! As a Winner On Wheels, you'll be trying new things, making new friends and exploring the world around you. That's what WOW is all about!

In WOW, we think about the things we can do, not what we can't. That's why we use race car words - like PIT CREW and CHIEF MECHANIC - instead of everyday words.

But there's more to being a Winner than just using new words. It means fun, but cleaning up when you're done. And asking a lot of questions, but always listening when someone else is talking. That's the way a real Winner acts!

Please read this booklet with an adult. If you have any questions about WOW, be sure to ask. We want you to try new things and have the most fun possible!

Thanks for being part of our group, called your CIRCLE. I know you'll like being a Winner, and I hope you have fun with all your new friends. WOW Winners...start your engines!

[WOW WORDS]

As a Winner, you and your Circle friends will be using some cool racing words. Here are a few of them:

[WINNER]

You are a Winner, just like all the other kids in WOW!

[CIRCLE]

This is your WOW group. We call it a Circle because it's a great place to be!

[JR. PIT CREW]

These are the older Winners who help adults with all the fun stuff you do.

[PIT CREW]

These are the adulst who aren't leaders, but who help you
when you are at WOW.

LEADER

This is the adult who is in charge of your circle. Be sure and listen, because your leader knows how to have fun!

[CHIEF MECHANICS]

These are your parents or guardians. Chief Mechanics are
important to every Winner!

[SPOKES]

A Spoke is an activity you do, like making something or playing a sport. Each time you do one of these activites you receive a spoke.

[AWARDS]

A Wheel is made up of six Spokes, so for every six activities you complete, you get a Wheel Award!

[WOW RULES]

When you remember these simple rules, WOW is more fun for everyone. When you go to your WOW meeting, you always:

Say the WOW Pledge.
Wear your WOW T-Shirt.
Help clean up.
Ask lots of questions.
Know your SAFE TIP goals.
Make up any work you missed (if you missed a meeting).
Listen when your leader or Pit Crew is talking.
HAVE FUN!

MINI WHEELS-get into smaller Circles and work on a Spoke.

CHECKERED FLAG TIME-come back to the big Circle, enjoy some snacks, and say the WOW Pledge again!
